Site closure / license transfer

We have helped a number of EPA licensed sites in respect of site closure and licence transfer applications.

Site closure can be difficult to achieve in the short term, especially if there are historical soil and groundwater contamination issues associated with the site. We can provide ongoing management of the site closure process with the EPA long after a company has ceased manufacturing at the site and is no longer in a position to manage the process themselves. We have also been involved in the successful surrender of EPA licensed sites and can manage the surrender process on behalf of companies.

Licence transfers are completed when a company buys an EPA licensed company. Transfers can be difficult to achieve and take time as there are several steps that need to be followed before the EPA can approve the licence transfer application. We have helped a number of companies to achieve the desired transfer within very short timeframes.

PP Environmental Consultants, working alongside the site owners, United Metals Ltd, has provided the necessary environmental expertise to allow a smooth transfer of the IE Licence from AVARA Pharmaceuticals to Eirchem Pharma Services Ltd in order to allow operations continue at the site during a phased cessation of site activities. PP Environmental Consultants then worked with Eirchem personnel during an agreed site closure process so that the site was handed over to United Metals in a Chemically Clean State.
